Best Service Award Floating trophy: (1992)

This was designed for Tata Telecom and is awarded to the best regional office  during the year. 

The two hands with a rose bud in between depicts care, protection and service. This was finalized after various alternatives were discussed and presented through sketches.

It was challenging and interesting to translate this idea into a real trophy. After trying out various alternative materials, we discovered that the resin used in fiberglass would give the best effect. It has a certain kind of translucency that gives interesting light effects. It could also be tinted to certain colours. The rose bud in between is made of the same material. Its stem is made out of steel wire. The pedestal is of teak wood and this bears the emblem etched on silver plate.

Best Region Award: (1991)

Like the Best Service Award, this too was designed for Tata Telecom. This floating trophy was to be awarded to the region that gave the best performance during the year. 

The theme here was team work. It was team work that brought in the best performance. Here again, various alternatives were tried out to depict this. The best was a team of men with joined hands standing around the plaque that has the message etched on a silver plate. This is engraved onto a teak wood plate on a similar base pedestal. For its protection over the years, a seamless acrylic cover was specially molded. This gave it not only protection, but an elegance.
