Education

• Studied Industrial design from National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad between 1975 to 1980.
• Industrial training was done with an instrumentation company where one got the first chance to undertake real projects, such as digital multimeters.
• Graduation project was undertaken with a computer manufacturing company. A variety of computer housings and peripherals were designed and launched.
• A foundation course in engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, complemented the design program at National Institute of Design.
• School education was Cambridge O levels, from Nairobi, Kenya.

Experience

Consultant to Secure Meters, Udaipur, Poly Meters Response, Winchester, England, Viral Controls, Gandhinagar, and Space Applications Center, Ahmedabad.

First (and last) job with ORG Systems, Baroda for four years, where involvement was in the design of various computer system housings. Began freelance design consultancy in industrial design from 1985.

Other activities include conducting workshops on Creative Industrial Design, Design Management and Cost Effective Product Design.
